Welcome to Beef Jerky Hub, a place for people of refined taste, which around here means people who take their jerky seriously.
My name is Charles, and I’d like to share how this site began.
It Started with a Bag from Thailand
Our story begins circa 2017, when a good friend introduced me to the most amazing beef jerky I had ever tasted. It came from his supplier in Thailand. Yes, you read that correctly: Thailand.
He’d lived there for several years and picked up a keen taste for the local cuisine, spicy beef jerky recipes included. He’d buy in bulk, since shipping is expensive, and split the cost with anyone who wanted a share of the good stuff, sometimes even turning a profit.
When I took my first bite, I was forever sold on homemade jerky.
I also saw the potential for a jerky marketplace.
And so the story begins!
Why I Built This Site
Beef Jerky Hub does two things. It’s a place to learn how to make jerky ourselves, with recipes, step-by-step guides and nutrition breakdowns. And it’s a place to find the people who make the homemade variety, from small-batch smokehouses to family shops. Because, as we all know, the best jerky doesn’t come from a store.
